"Ranger" lounge chair with footstool by Erik Deforce (Rik Def) for Gervan, 1970.
This leather lounge chair with base in oak veneer is part of the G collection designed by Eric Deforce.
Erik Deforce was a designer from Belgium who loved the styles of the 1960s, especially from Italy and Scandinavia. His best work, the 1970 lounge chair "the Lord," shows his passion for this type of design. In 1970, Erik Deforce introduced the G-Collection at the 2nd Interieur Biennale in Kortrijk.
Gervan was a small family business based in Ingelmunster. With the G-Collection, Deforce wanted to put Belgian Design on the international map.
