This Maxi Globe M(medium) hanging lamp (B-1259) was designed by Frank Ligtelijn in 1968 and is completely original. The lamp was produced by Raak (Amsterdam), one of the most important Dutch lighting manufacturers of the 20th century. Specific Space Age design.
The shape of the hanging lamp refers to the essence and source of electric light: the light bulb, invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1879. The lamp is also called Maxi Light or Maxi Bulb. The lamps have gray smoked glass shades and gold-coloured brass fittings.
The lamp is very beautiful as a singular hanging lamp, but also sublime in combination with a few others. We only have a few of these lamps in stock in the same beautiful vintage condition.
The minimalist design is an excellent example of Raak's signature style and has become a vintage classic.
You only need to screw in a lamp (E27 socket) to enjoy the 60s. A cup mirror lamp can be used for refined indirect effects. Supplied without light source.
