Product description
An original Raak Amsterdam B-1200 pendant lamp, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands during the late 1960s. With its distinctive layered aluminium shade and contrasting black centre ring, this model is a classic example of Dutch Mid-Century Modern lighting. The clever construction allows the light to be distributed both downward and indirectly through the central opening, creating a warm, atmospheric glow while minimizing glare. Its clean architectural lines and brushed aluminium finish make it a versatile statement piece that complements Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors alike. The B-1200 is equally at home above a dining table, kitchen island, office or entrance hall. The lamp is presented in excellent vintage condition. The brushed aluminium has been carefully cleaned and retains its original satin finish with only light signs of age, consistent with careful use over the decades. It is fully functional and ready for installation.
