Product description
Antique Prie-Dieu in blackened wood, with elegant turned uprights and bars decoration. Kneeler upholstered with old geometric straw work, retaining a beautiful patina. Interesting feature: the support bears a brass plaque engraved «Mlle Lucienne Cortyl», probably the name of its former owner. Work from the late 19th or early 20th century. Good general condition considering its age. Wear, rubbing and small losses to the black finish. The straw work also shows signs of use and some visible fragilities, particularly on the reverse.
