This is a 'Mia' caffettiera / moka pot, an iconic postmodern Italian design by Guido Bergna, crafted in Italy during the 1990s. Guido Bergna’s designs are renowned for their sublime craftsmanship and sleek lines, created before the brand was acquired by the world-famous design house Alessi in the early 2000s. This particular piece is a wonderfully complete and rare find for the true enthusiast. Special Features: Postmodern Accent: Features the highly sought-after, heat-resistant design knob in a deep cobalt blue / dark blue color. Both the lid knob and the handle are fully intact and free from any melt marks. Includes Reducer Filter: Truly unique! Thanks to the original, loose stainless steel reducer filter, the pot offers great flexibility, allowing you to brew either its full 6-cup capacity or a smaller 3-cup setting. Premium Quality: Crafted from heavy, polished stainless steel (ACC. INOX 18-10) with an extra-weighted base for excellent stability and even heat distribution. Condition: Visibly used, but undamaged: The espresso pot has a charming, lived-in vintage character with normal, light superficial surface scratches and signs of wear on the stainless steel, as expected from a beloved vintage item (please see photos). No damage: There are no dents, deep scratches, or structural defects. The original rubber gasket (seal) on the inside is still fully functional and seals perfectly.
