Product description
A plastic sheet light with carefully bent semi-transparent white and orange vinyl sheets forming a flower-like shape. Gives a wide neutral light downwards as well as a very decorative orange glow along its sides.
The lamp has been fitted with a new white textile cable. Very good condition with only very minor signs of use.
Quality System was started in 1965 by the artist Flemming Brylle and industrial designer Preben Jacobsen. Preben cleaned up some playing cards and suddenly got the idea to put together a lamp by cutting 40 cards so that they could be inserted into each other and form a sculpture. Together with his friend Flemming Brylle, he developed the first lamp made of a transparent material: antistatic polyacrylic, a type of plastic, in many pieces that could be easily sent and assembled by the customers. The model was called Cosmo Light.
