Rare antique Holophane ceiling light in prismatic glass, circa 1930, in Art Deco / modernist style. Elegant small luminaire with a small footprint, composed of a Holophane molded prismatic glass dome, mounted on a remarkable circular metal frame with elaborate decoration. The glass features the characteristic network of fine prismatic ribs specific to Holophane productions, originally designed to refract, diffuse, and distribute light homogeneously. The Holophane marking is visible on the glass (see dedicated photographs).
