Product description
Lithograph on handmade Canson France paper, edition Leonardo Artis, after the 1929 original "Composition no. III, with red, blue, yellow and black". Signed in the plate and numbered 58/200. 50*66 cm. Relief stamp of Leonardo Artis at the front and seal of authenticity ('verification of authenticity') at the back. This work can be found in the Catalogue Raisonné B213. Comes with certificate (COA) from Leonardo Artis. This work, along with all close variations on the same composition type, represents the height of Mondrian's classicism. By this period the artist had achieved his n canonical neoplastic vocabulary, a radically reduced series of formal compositions consisting of straight black lines and planes of primary color or "non-color" (white, black and gray).
