I knew that my very elderly neighbor had always worked at Philips. What I didn't know was that my neighbor's wife had worked at the Philips lighting laboratory until they got married in the 1960s. As a gift, they received a number of lamps from this laboratory.
Some time ago, the house was cleared out by a clearance company. I asked, almost nonchalantly, if there were any lamps still hanging in the home. Among them, this lamp appeared in the kitchen! Unfortunately, it had been painted over white. Now, thanks to this lamp, I know that good paint stripper is important. Just look at the result!! 😁
