Product description
Wall lamp by the renowned brand Philips to a design by Louis Kalff from the Argenta NX series. Holder is of French walnut and the shade of white perspex. Furthermore, the lamp is equipped with the original switch and 2-pin plug. The socket is made of bakelite. Condition: Nice vintage condition with the usual (small) signs of age. This wall lamp from Philips' NX series is from the 1950s, Louis Kalff designed the lamp. He was the head of Philips' design department and, with his team, ensured many Philips successes. Designers experimented a lot with laminated and bent wood in the postwar period. A fairly new technique in the furniture industry and brought over from the US.
