The lamp was created in 1974 after Henningsen's death on the occasion of his 80th birthday - hence the name PH 80. The original PH 80 lamp, designed in 1974, has a characteristic red element on the top, which provides warm and atmospheric lighting. Opal acrylic shades add a fresh look and provide attractive diffused ambient light.
