Beautiful and rare set of two original Peill & Putzler mushroom table lamps from Germany, executed in the special Zebra glass. The lamps are entirely made of heavy, hand-blown glass and feature the characteristic organic mushroom model for which Peill & Putzler is so well known. The white Zebra pattern runs through both the base and the shade, giving each lamp a unique character. Especially when switched on, the different layers and structures in the glass come out beautifully, creating a warm, soft glow. What is extra special is that this is a matching set of two identical pieces. Both lamps are also still equipped with the original Putzler Germany label. A beautiful example of German glass design from the 1970s and a real eye-catcher in a vintage, space-age or modernist interior. Also very nice as a pair on a sideboard, bedside tables or on either side of a sofa. Both lamps are in beautiful vintage condition, especially considering their age. The glass is well preserved and the lamps present very well. See the photos for the condition.
