The Pastoe CU05 cabinet by Cees Braakman – Japanese series is an iconic piece of Dutch design from the late 1950s. During this period, designer Cees Braakman drew inspiration from the understated aesthetic of Japanese design. For Pastoe, this resulted in a series of furniture where minimalism, refined proportions, and practical functionality come together. Moreover, this particular piece still bears the original production stamp from September 11, 1959, a beautiful detail that underscores the furniture's authenticity.
