Elegant pair of mid-century armchairs attributed to Frederic Weinberg, produced in the United States during the 1950s. The chairs feature beautifully woven wicker seats and backs, set within a strong and sculptural black iron frame.
The design is both refined and functional, with gently curved armrests and a tall, fan-shaped backrest that gives the chairs a light yet architectural presence. The heavy iron construction provides excellent stability and durability, making the chairs suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, such as a covered terrace, veranda, or sunroom.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The wicker is well preserved and intact. The iron frames are solid and sturdy, showing some age-appropriate wear and minor signs of use, consistent with their age (see photos). No structural issues.
A timeless pair that works equally well in a mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interior.
