A pair of ash veneered armchairs, each formed by a structure with flat cut-out legs linked by a curved side rail, in contrast to the convex line of the wide armrests; these two lines are joined by crosspieces of two different thicknesses. This wooden structure houses a seat and backrest unit with another L-shaped curve, entirely upholstered in plum fabric by Canovas, embroidered by Lesage.
Circa 1950.
Small veneer graft on one armrest.
The fabric is very slightly oiled, with a trace of discoloration on one seat (see photo).
