A pair of Japanese bronze vases with high relief decoration of phoenixes and flowers; the neck is also extensively decorated. Both are signed at the bottom and rest on a square, rounded base. These are presumably from the late Meiji period (1868-1912).
These fantastic vases are of high quality and extremely detailed, featuring beautiful depictions of birds and organic decoration. The bases feature a mythical figure in the center. Over the years, both objects have acquired a beautiful color and patina of age.
These vases are in very good antique condition, with signs of age and use consistent with their age. They have a few small holes caused by the manufacturing process; please check the photos for more details!
Dimensions: 14cm diameter at the widest point, the base measures 15x15cm, 28cm total height.
Weight: 5.451kg combined.
