Elegant pair of Art Deco walnut nightstands, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s.
The nightstands feature the strong geometric proportions, softly rounded corners and rich material treatment associated with Central European Art Deco furniture of the period. Particularly attractive is the highly figured walnut veneer, carefully arranged across the cabinet fronts to emphasize its dramatic natural grain.
Each nightstand offers practical bedside storage with a drawer, open upper compartment and spacious lower cabinet. Rounded bases and sculptural feet reinforce the streamlined architectural character, while polished metal handles provide a refined contrast to the warm walnut tones.
The tops are protected by removable glass panels, making the pieces suitable for everyday use while preserving the wood surface underneath.
Both nightstands have been carefully refurbished while retaining their authentic vintage character. Minor signs of age and previous use remain consistent with their period.
