Bring character and history into your garden or interior with this rare, monumental pair of antique zinc garden birds from the period approx. 1910–1940 (Art Deco). This harmonious ensemble consists of a stately, upright crane of 96 cm and an elegantly bowing crane of 77 cm. Unlike modern machine-made reproductions, this set is entirely handcrafted using traditional European zinc casting techniques. Because the birds have stood outdoors in the elements for decades, they have developed a beautiful, aged silver-grey oxide patina with characteristic white rust textures. The sculptures are in excellent, solid condition. A beautiful statement piece for the exclusive garden, or as an atmosphere creator in a minimalist Japandi or robust Wabi-Sabi interior.
