__ A subtle curve in the armrest makes all the difference. A small curve in the arm lends the sofa character and optimizes the comfort that is often lacking in a narrow frame. Designer Johan van Engel has created a sofa with a slender appearance. In the 1960s and 70s, there were quite a few armchairs with a curve in the arm, but you never saw that on sofas. He found that an interesting observation. Thanks to the panel folded around the armrest, the Otis looks slender, yet you still experience that comfort. Ultimately, it is the armrest that gives a sofa character. But the detail of the small table behind the sofa also makes the Otis unique.
