ProfessionalProduct description
The Vitra Eames Lounge Chair with matching Ottoman, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, is an undisputed icon of 20th-century furniture design. This specific piece, produced in 2002, represents the ultimate synthesis of progressive design and uncompromising seating comfort, and remains one of the most recognizable silhouettes in design history.
The armchair and footstool are crafted with a molded wood shell, finished in a deep black shade that seamlessly complements the high-quality upholstery. The furniture is upholstered in premium black leather of L50 quality, ensuring refined tactility and durability. The ensemble rests on a robust, swivel cast aluminum star base, combining stability with an elegant, architectural appearance.
This piece of furniture is in excellent condition and displays the high-quality finish for which the Swiss manufacturer Vitra is known. The leather has retained its original suppleness and deep color, while the wooden shells and metal frame have remained structurally and aesthetically intact. With its timeless yet imposing presence, this set forms a powerful centerpiece in a variety of interiors. The chair is ideally suited for a refined reading nook in a modernist living space or as a representative statement piece in an executive office.
