Orhan Otay was born in 1928 in Gaziantep, Turkey. He came to the Netherlands at the age of 35 and attended the art academy here, first in Tilburg at the Catholic courses, later at Sint Joost in Breda. He worked for years in a sculpture studio as a designer. He was also a modeller for Efteling in the decoration & design department from the early 1980s to 1990. Many of his works can be seen in the park: Piranha, Troll King and Fata Morgana. There are works by him in America, Iceland and Italy
