ONE-OF-A-KIND BRUTALIST TABLE LAMP – BIANCARDI & JORDAN ARTE, ITALY, 1970s
This striking and extremely rare table lamp, attributed to Biancardi & Jordan Arte, was handcrafted in Italy during the 1970s. A true one-of-a-kind piece—no identical version of this lamp is known to exist. Its bold Brutalist design combines bronzed wrought iron with handcrafted Murano glass inserts, resulting in a sculptural light object that is as much art as it is illumination.
Biancardi & Jordan were considered direct competitors of Albano Poli’s Poliarte, yet their works were produced in far smaller quantities—making them considerably rarer. This lamp stands apart even within their limited oeuvre. Each element, from the hand-forged metal frame to the individually crafted glass pieces, reflects a level of detail and craftsmanship that cannot be replicated. The raw, geometric structure fused with neoclassical undertones creates a design that is both timeless and unmistakably unique.
