Old Spanish refectory table – solid wood & wrought iron – 218 cm
A special old Spanish refectory table featuring a generous solid wood top and beautiful decorative wrought iron rails.
The top is 218 cm long and approximately 4.5 cm thick. The wood shows a beautiful weathered look and clearly displays its history. Old repairs, wooden pegs, inlaid pieces of wood, minor imperfections, and signs of use have been left visible. It is precisely these details that give the table its character.
The construction under the table is particularly noteworthy. Heavy decorative wrought iron rails with fine details run between the solid wood base. The dark wrought iron forms a beautiful contrast with the warm wood and gives the table its characteristic Spanish refectory appearance.
The underside of the top also clearly shows signs of age and previous repairs. The table has not been smoothly restored to like-new condition. The weathered character is inherent to this piece of furniture and is clearly visible in the detail photos. Due to its generous size, the table is beautiful as a dining table, large work table, or desk in a home office. In a modern interior, the combination of old wood and wrought iron can also create a striking contrast.
