This canvas is a skillful, material homage to the world-famous masterpiece 'The Town' (1905) by the Swedish painter August Strindberg. The painting is executed in oil on canvas and measures 50 cm in height and 40 cm in width. Storme has used an impasto technique, where the paint is applied thickly to create texture and depth, which is especially visible in the rock formations and waves. The color palette is dominated by shades of blue, gray, black, and green, forming a moody yet dynamic landscape. The work is signed and dated 2012 on the back of the wooden stretcher frame. The overall condition of the artwork is excellent. The canvas is tightly stretched, and the paint layers are completely intact, without signs of discoloration or damage. The vibrant texture and rich colors have been well preserved, allowing the work to retain its original character. The painting is made with high-quality "Van Gogh" oil paint, which ensures deep, intense pigments and excellent lightfastness. The work immediately stands out due to the heavy, pasty impasto technique (palette knife work).
