Product description
Sculptural Italian Murano glass flush mount ceiling or wall light, attributed to Mazzega and executed in the style associated with Toni Zuccheri.
The fixture features a substantial square shade of heavily textured clear Murano glass enriched with flowing amber glass decoration. The shade rises into a pronounced sculptural dome at its center, while the gently undulating perimeter emphasizes the handmade character of the glass.
Mounted on a chrome-plated metal backplate and secured by four decorative chrome fittings, the fixture combines organic Murano glassmaking with the clean geometry characteristic of Italian modernist lighting.
The light can be mounted either on a ceiling as a flush mount or vertically as a wall light.
The metal components have been repolished and the electrical system has been newly rewired. Fully functional and ready for use. Minor signs of age and use remain, consistent with the vintage nature of the piece.
