About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This Mosaic vase was designed by Swedish master glassmaker Bertil Vallien for the renowned Kosta Boda glassworks in 2004. Distinguished by its bold geometric silhouette and deep blue hue, it represents an iconic piece of contemporary Scandinavian glasswork. The Mosaic model perfectly illustrates the designer's ability to combine architectural forms with the inherent fluidity of glass. Crafted from thick, high-quality glass, this object features a multifaceted, asymmetrical structure that captures and reflects light in a unique way. Its dimensions of 22 centimeters in height and approximately 9 centimeters in diameter give it a perfectly balanced, sculptural presence. Kosta Boda's long-standing technical mastery is fully expressed in the purity of the material, the absence of internal imperfections, and the precision of the vertical lines that structure the piece. The vase is in remarkable condition, a testament to the meticulous care it has received since its creation. The glass surface retains its original brilliance, offering pristine transparency and a vibrant color that shifts depending on the viewing angle and ambient lighting. This vase integrates seamlessly into modern, minimalist, or Nordic-inspired interiors. It can be displayed alone as a true sculptural work of art on a light wood console table, or used to hold simple floral arrangements in the center of a coffee table.
