Life-size Rhinoceros – Sculpture | Display Case | Table
Includes industrial mobile platform.
A monumental, almost life-size rhinoceros that balances between sculpture, design object, and functional furniture.
With its length of approximately 2 meters, deep black finish, and very lifelike skin structure, this is an exceptional statement piece.
It is particularly interesting that the rhinoceros can not only be used as a sculpture: a platform with a display cabinet is integrated into its back, allowing the object to be relatively easily adapted into a table, presentation furniture, or lamp object.

Moooi | Front Design
Conceptually, the rhinoceros has a clear kinship with the now iconic animal furniture that Front Design created for Moooi: the Horse Lamp, Rabbit Lamp, and Pig Table.
The similarity in scale, concept, appearance, and material use makes it particularly interesting for lovers of this kind of distinctive design.
We ourselves also had the well-known Pig Table by Front Design | Moooi next to the rhinoceros. That combination worked particularly well; the pig has since been sold.
Multiple Possibilities
The current integrated display case offers many possibilities. The display cabinet itself needs some attention/work in its current state, and the key is missing. The rhinoceros itself, however, is in excellent condition.
Precisely because the construction is already integrated into the back, the object is interesting as a basis for a custom adaptation. For example:
– Restore the existing display cabinet and use it as a display;
– Remove/replace the display case with a larger tabletop;
– Expand it into a spectacular side table or presentation table;
– Use it as a pedestal for art, plants, or special objects;
– Equip it with lighting and transform it into a monumental lamp object.
Execution
The rhinoceros is heavy and solidly made of black plastic with a very detailed, realistic skin structure. Convincingly modeled.
Due to its scale, the object has an almost museum-like or theatrical presence.
Industrial Mobile Platform Included
The rhinoceros also comes with a heavy industrial platform made of steel and wood on which the object can be placed and anchored.
The platform is equipped with wheels, making it significantly easier to move the rhinoceros, despite its size and weight. Ideal for use in a showroom, shop, gallery, office, restaurant, or other larger space.
We did not use the platform at home: the rhinoceros can stand stably on its own legs.
The rhinoceros is in excellent used condition.
A rare object for those not looking for a subtle accessory, but for a distinctive object that can define an entire space.
Viewing is, of course, possible.
Due to its size and weight, collection only or transport by arrangement.
