Exceptional large coffee table by the renowned Ecuadorian designer Angel Pazmiño, crafted by Muebles de Estilo in Ecuador in the 1960s/70s. The table combines Pazmiño's iconic brutalist design language with high-quality handcrafted South American leather art. The massive round tabletop is fully covered with hand-embossed leather, displaying impressive pre-Columbian-inspired relief motifs with significant depth and a beautiful patina. The top is supported by solid, turned wooden legs with a distinctive sculptural effect. Particularly interesting is the contemporary height adjustment feature: using precisely fitted wooden elements, the height can be flexibly extended from approximately 40 cm to approximately 45 cm. The table has an exceptionally warm aura and is perfect for: Brutalist Interiors, Organic Modern Spaces, Hacienda Style, Mid-Century Modern Settings, Collectors of Latin American Design. A true statement piece with great presence and outstanding materiality. Condition: Very good vintage condition with a beautiful age-appropriate patina.
