An elegant Minerva seating group, designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and manufactured by France & Daverkosen in Denmark, circa 1957. This iconic modular ensemble consists of two three-seat sofas and the matching corner table, creating a refined and versatile Scandinavian lounge arrangement. The Minerva series is a celebrated example of Danish Modern design, distinguished by its solid teak frame, gracefully tapered legs, and beautifully balanced proportions. A defining feature of the design is the architectural back construction, where the floating teak back panel is supported by slender brushed steel uprights, giving the sofas an exceptionally light and elegant appearance from every angle. This particular set includes the highly desirable corner table with the original woven cane (rattan) lower shelf, a feature that adds warmth and texture while emphasizing the refined craftsmanship of the Minerva series. The warm teak frames are paired with neutral brown upholstery, perfectly complementing the natural wood.
