Very rare and hard-to-find example, the Bronze medal Opus 294 was created by Miguel Berrocal as a commemorative piece for the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers in Gijón. The bronze medal exemplifies the Spanish sculptor's fascination with scientific complexity and interlocking forms, presenting a dual-sided relief that contrasts mechanical engineering with electrical innovation. This specific Miguel Berrocal work captures the essence of the 1980s industrial aesthetic through high-relief casting and intricate detailing typical of his puzzle sculptures.
