Product description
This round coffee table was designed and produced in 1960’s Czechoslovakia. It consists of four tampered legs, a circular tabletop with striking walnut veneer texture and another round thin beechwood layer underneath the main tabletop. At the time, Czech design moved away from the Modernist approach and was mainly influenced by Scandinavian design. This influence is noticeable on this piece. The main decor / design feature is clearly the material itself. The stunning Walnut veneer looks almost like an Abstract painting and works well together with the darker wood of the beechwood legs and the addition storage shelf that sits beneath underneath the tabletop.
This piece is in perfect vintage condition. The wooden frame, legs and the table top have been all cleaned and re-polished to its original condition. There is only absolutely minimal wear acquired over the years.
