Elegant Mid-Century chest of drawers by Austinsuite, presumably from the 1960s, with a very balanced, typically British-Scandinavian influenced design language. Particularly characteristic are the slightly flared, tapered legs and the elegantly integrated, curved wooden handles on the front. The front is clearly structured and at the same time varied in its construction. In the upper part there are three shallower drawers, below which are two significantly larger, deeper drawers. This asymmetrical arrangement not only creates a striking look but also offers versatile storage space for smaller and larger items. The drawers are of high quality workmanship and show beautiful traditional wood joints when opened. The warm wood tone and calm grain give the piece of furniture a homely, timeless appeal. The slightly overhanging top plate and the slender substructure emphasize the elegant Mid-Century character. Condition: Good used vintage condition with traces of age and use. Minor scratches, abrasions and signs of wear are visible on the side surfaces and individual edges. Overall, the piece of furniture presents itself very coherently and authentically.
