Product description
This set of four Danish chairs manufactured by Farstrup in the 1960s is a prime example of Scandinavian mid-century modern design. This model combines the simplicity of form characteristic of Danish design with attention to ergonomics and everyday functionality. The frame is made of beechwood and the backrests are made of teakwood, giving the chairs a warm, refined wood grain while maintaining durability and stability. The gently contoured backrest provides comfortable back support, and the visually light form makes the chairs look elegant both at the dining table and in an office or restaurant setting. The chairs have been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. The seat has been reupholstered in a mocha-colored wool and silk fabric. Thanks to these treatments, the desk looks stunning and will serve its new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear from everyday use. Farstrup is one of the most respected Danish furniture manufacturers, operating continuously since 1910. The company became renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship and collaborations with many renowned Scandinavian designers. In the 1950s and 1960s, its chairs were found in both private homes and public spaces, becoming a symbol of functional Danish design.
