Beautiful vintage coffee table by Louis van Teeffelen in teak (legs and drawer are solid, top is veneer). Super handy drawer for extra storage space. In the tabletop, a black tile with two usable sides: one with a more matte/satin sheen and one with more high gloss. Truly a very cool item in a modern or eclectic interior.
What distinguishes this coffee table in our opinion and experience from other Van Teeffelen coffee tables - e.g., the nr 14 which we initially considered in terms of design - is that it has an enormously practical and compact (yet simultaneously large) design with a drawer and a teak rack underneath where you can place magazines etc. This way, you keep the seating area tidy and beautifully designed at the same time.
For this reason, we were quickly convinced by this design, and after a search, we found this beautiful example. Much more practical than the otherwise also incredibly beautiful nr. 14. We haven't regretted it for a second and have received many compliments over the years.
In very beautiful, used condition with (only very slight) usual signs of age. Beautiful wood joints. Drawer runs perfectly and can slide out both to the front and back of the table. Cool mid-century handles, characteristic of the period of manufacture.
