Product description
Beautiful vintage lounge armchair from the 1960s, executed in the style of Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé. Although this piece is unmarked, the design shows clear similarities to the organic design language for which van Teeffelen was known during this period.
In the workshop, the armchair has been fully restored with respect for the original design and the characteristic patina. The solid teak frame has been carefully cleaned and refinished, allowing the wood to regain its warm, cozy appearance from the 1960s. Structurally, the armchair is also in excellent condition. A few minor signs of use have been deliberately retained; they actually contribute to the authentic character of the furniture.
In addition to the frame, the seat has also been completely renewed. The old springs and filling have been replaced with new springs and high-quality foam. Subsequently, the armchair has been reupholstered with a cream-colored fluffy fabric reminiscent of sheepskin. The soft, playful texture forms a beautiful contrast with the warm teak wood and gives the armchair a fresh, contemporary look.
What makes this armchair truly special is the organically shaped frame. The slender armrests and A-shaped legs create an airy, elegant look that perfectly complements the armchair's playful character. The design is powerful in its simplicity and demonstrates how beautiful a piece of furniture can be when form, material, and proportions are in perfect balance.
