Imposing and spectacular Art Deco era (c. 1930) animal Sculpture created by Marcel Guillemard (1886–1932), emblematic designer and studio head of the famous Atelier Primavera of the Printemps department stores.
Entitled Crested Tit Couple, this monumental composition, 77 cm wide, stands out for its exceptional dynamism and the geometric grace of its lines. It depicts two crested birds in full courtship display above stylized aquatic foliage.
The work features a rich, nuanced original patina — brown for the birds and green for the vegetation — enhanced by coppery and golden highlights, providing beautiful visual depth.
Signed M Guillemard in relief within the vegetation decor.
Rests on its imposing original beveled black marble base.
Model listed in the 20th-century decorative art sales catalog.

Good overall condition, with patina, small marks and rubbing consistent with age. The underside of the base shows signs of wear. A retaining screw is missing under the bird attached to the branch, without affecting the stability of the whole.
Due to its imposing size and very rhythmic silhouette, this Sculpture will naturally find its place on a console, a large sideboard or in an Art Deco inspired interior.
