Product description
Particularly beautiful and decorative set of two vintage obelisks by Maitland-Smith. The obelisks are entirely made of inlaid natural stone/marble, with a very detailed geometric braided pattern in contrasting colors. The panels are finished with fine brass frames and the obelisks rest on small spherical brass feet. Both stand on a matching, richly inlaid pedestal. The difference in height gives the set a beautiful architectural and sculptural character. Original Maitland-Smith pieces and marked. Very high-quality and heavy execution, typical for Maitland-Smith's luxurious interior work. The largest obelisk is approx. 74 cm high. Sold exclusively as a set.
