Magnificent Mid-Century oval coffee table designed by renowned Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen and manufactured by Fröschen Sitform in Germany, circa 1960. This exceptionally elegant table combines a beautifully sculpted rosewood frame with an impressive oval glass top. The glass is particularly striking, featuring a series of concentric oval motifs with alternating bands of clear, frosted and subtly textured glass. The clear sections themselves feature a delicate textured finish, adding another layer of visual depth to the design. This creates a sophisticated layered effect, allowing the beautifully crafted wooden structure beneath to remain visible while giving the tabletop an almost sculptural quality. The warm, richly grained rosewood frame is characterised by beautifully tapered legs and elegantly curved rails, reflecting Kofod-Larsen’s refined Scandinavian approach to furniture design.
