This model (Ny-Mag H.63) was designed in the 1960s by Hans Jørgen Berthel for the Danish manufacturer Abo Randers (the lamp is marked.) The lamp base is magnetic, so that the bulb can be placed in different positions on the base and the light beam can be directed in any direction. dimensions: Height 15 cm Width 11.5 cm Diameter bulb 11.5 cm Diameter base 11 cm Hans Jørgen Berthel designed this model in the early 1960s, but it was later replicated by several Danish and Italian manufacturers with subtle design changes, including the well-known Italian company Reggiani. Abo existed as an independent company until the 1980s. After the merger of Danish lighting companies in the 1980s, Abo was first part of Lyskaer-Lyfa with Fog & Mørup and then ES Horn Belysning, which then became Lightyears, acquired by Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen in 2015. This lamp is in original used, fully functional vintage condition. There are some minor scratches on it, see photos for reference. The light switch is on the cable. The lamp uses an E14 bulb also suitable for LED.
