Jens Møller Jensen designed the models of the "Albertslund Serie" in 1963 for a residential area in Albertslund, a suburb of Copenhagen. The Pendant lamps type Orbiter follow the design elements of the rest of the Albertslund Serie and, like them, feature an anti-glare ring, three vertical struts, and a large, flat ring that also serves as a reflector.

Saturn rings is a true classic, a timelessly elegant pendant lamp.
The lamp emits a diffuse, soft and pleasant light.
Material: Aluminum, powder-coated, Weight approx. 6 kg.
The lamp has three G24d type sockets and can be operated with energy-saving LEDs. Three suitable light sources in warm white / neutral white light color can be included for an additional charge. Originally, the lamp is equipped with three compact lamps like Osram Dulux, each 18 W.
The two small and the large Saturn ring are designed so that a uniformly illuminated area is created in the room.
They direct and divide the light upwards and downwards and, together with the three vertical struts, create a decorative play of shadows.
The desired lighting effect can be varied with an acrylic glass diffuser in clear or satin finish, as desired.
One diffuser is included in the price, another is available for €30.
With the closed, original acrylic glass cover, thermal problems and failures due to heat accumulation were common. For protected indoor use, open cylinders are therefore installed. They are new and not original.
The lamp has not been manufactured for many years and is only
available from "Vintage" stock. Today it is used worldwide
as an architectural finishing touch.
The lamps are in very good condition, but not new.
