Les trois grâces [1960] - Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita [1886-1968] - Original lithograph - 53.5 cm x 39.5 cm - Signed in the plate lower right - Original edition Mourlot 1960 - Unframed - Work referenced in Sylvie Buisson's catalog (vol.1, P.531) - An identical work sold on October 25, 2021 to Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris for 800€ (1040€ including fees) - Léonard Foujita (1886-1968) in Zurich (Switzerland)2, French painter, draughtsman and engraver of Japanese origin, also illustrator, ceramist, photographer, film-maker and stylist. On his arrival in France in 1913, he met Pablo Picasso. He soon joined the Paris School, where he became one of the stars alongside his Montparnasse neighbors and friends Modigliani, Pascin, Kisling, Derain, Soutine, Vlaminck, Léger, Gris and Matisse. After three solo exhibitions, Foujita was soon a household name, exhibiting at all the major art fairs in Paris, Brussels, London, Germany, the United States and Japan.
