Art Deco - Tengra Manufacture (Spain)
Description of the piece:
Superb and rare collector's porcelain sculpture from the famous Spanish manufacture Tengra (Valencia), featuring a draped dancer in a large stylized fan costume in the purest spirit of the Art Deco period.
The enamel work is of remarkable finesse, combining smooth white fields, a magnificent lustrous geometric decoration with iridescent reflections (shades of bluish gray and pastel rosy beige) and rich hand-applied gold lining.
The statuette rests on its original matte black wooden base.
Authenticity is guaranteed by the presence of the two original labels on the edge of the base: the black shield "Tengra - Hand Made" and the silver embossed "Tengra" label.
