Product description
This large glass mushroom table lamp was produced by Peill & Putzler in Germany during the 1960s. Characterized by its generous scale and elegant, organic silhouette, the lamp features a beautifully curved glass shade with a distinctive wave-like pattern. A classic example of mid-century German glass design, it combines soft sculptural form with refined craftsmanship. When illuminated, the curved wave pattern diffuses the light in a subtle and atmospheric way, creating a warm, even glow. The textured glass adds depth and movement, giving the lamp a luminous presence that changes depending on viewpoint and light intensity. Both functional and decorative, it works beautifully as ambient lighting. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of age consistent with use. A partial original label is still present, confirming its authenticity and adding to its collectible value. A timeless and highly decorative piece that fits seamlessly into both mid-century and contemporary interiors, and a strong addition to any curated design collection.
