Framed engraving titled La Dévotion sincère au logis, depicting a family instruction scene after a composition by Jean-Baptiste Greuze. In a popular interior, a father reads before an attentive assembly of women and children. The meticulous treatment of figures, fabrics, and furniture relies on a dense network of cuts and hatching. The lower margin bears the title, a dedication to fathers, moralizing verses, and a small decorative motif. The printed mention « Greuze pinx. » designates Jean-Baptiste Greuze as the author of the composition. To the right, the mention « P*** sculp. » does not allow for precise identification of the engraver. The piece is an old French print from the late 18th century, but the exact dating of the impression remains to be confirmed. Presented under glass in a brown wooden frame highlighted with a golden fillet. Height: 42,5 cm Width: 51,5 cm Depth: 1 cm Satisfactory antique condition.
