Product description
This set of two wooden bookends is a characteristic example of the Amsterdam School. The design is characterized by the combination of clean lines and geometric shapes, resulting in an architectural and decorative object. The bookends are made from two types of wood. The L-shaped base with a rounded top has a dark brown finish, while the spherical elements have a lighter, natural wood color where the grain structure is clearly visible. This combination of shapes and colors is typical of the design period and gives the set a warm and authentic character. The overall condition is good and consistent with the age of the objects, retaining the original patina. The construction is solid and fully functional for supporting books. The undersides are covered with paper, as shown in the images. This pair is a stylish addition to a desk, dresser, or bookshelf. They fit perfectly within a classic, eclectic, or Art Deco interior and offer an elegant way to present a book collection.
