Description Beautiful vintage chandelier by Kinkeldey, Germany, made of gilded brass and heavy facet-cut crystal glass. The lamp is constructed from multiple rows of individual geometrically cut crystal elements. Each element has a distinct star-shaped facet pattern, causing the light to be refracted from every angle and beautifully dispersed throughout the chandelier. Especially when the lamp is lit, a particularly warm sparkle is created by the combination of the clear crystal and the gold-colored brass. The different layers of crystal together form a compact, almost spherical chandelier. With a diameter of approximately 35 cm, this is a somewhat smaller and therefore very usable size: striking enough as a real eye-catcher, but also suitable for spaces where a large chandelier would be too dominant. Kinkeldey was known for high-quality and richly executed crystal lighting, and this lamp is a beautiful example of that. The heavy crystal elements, brass construction, and refined geometric design give the lamp a distinct Hollywood Regency / Mid-Century look. The chandelier is in beautiful vintage condition. The crystal presents beautifully, and the gilded brass has a nice warm appearance with slight traces consistent with its age. See photos for condition.
