A pearl! This is the Kho Liang sofa from Artifort, model C684. With its understated simplicity, this model is a timeless classic and is still part of the permanent Artifort collection. However, nothing is more beautiful than a vintage copy! The sofa has recently been fitted with new foam, new upholstery and a new cushion. Covered with a solid and trendy furniture fabric in a fresh green color with white and yellow pigments. A nice detail is that the padded back and seat cushions consist of one piece and lie loose on the frame. The frame shows signs of wear commensurate with age.
Kho Liang Ie (1927-1975) was a Dutch industrial designer. He studied at the Rietveld Academy and worked for Artifort, Fristho, Bruynzeel and Mosa. He is known for designing Airport Schiphol.
