Product description
Manufacturer: Guldkroken Hjo (Sweden). Designer: Märta Grunditz. Design period: 1970s (Mid-Century Modern / Space Age style). Guldkroken was known for its high-quality ceramics with flowing, organic shapes. This specific model is also called a "tree candle holder" (träd ljusstake) in Scandinavia due to its characteristic branches. The object is finished with a deep red, high-gloss glaze layer that was typical of the bold use of color in the 1970s. An original design by Märta Grunditz for Guldkroken.
