Large oil painting on linen canvas. 140x100x4D. Painted by Jeannelle Smit in 2018. Now for sale first hand and in perfect condition.
The bright African colors are richly applied, especially the traditional jewelry of the lady is heavily tufted. The huge mat of beads around her neck have been applied 1 by 1 so that the jewelry lies on top.
The flames around her are applied with gold leaf, which together with the many colors gives a beautiful effect. Placed in a heavy black solid frame with strong suspension system. Jeannelle has been painting mainly on commission for 20 years. She attended the art academy in Utrecht for a number of years. Her works are very diverse and surprising, but above all a lot of color.
