Striking 1970s Italian pendant light, featuring a large hand-blown Venetian glass shade combined with polished brass details. The impressive oval globe is made from hand-blown white glass with a dynamic swirling pattern, combining dense textured areas with smoother opaline sections. Two fine gold-toned lines follow the sweeping movement of the decoration, emphasizing the sculptural Space Age form. When illuminated, the glass produces a beautifully soft, atmospheric glow while revealing the depth and movement of the handmade pattern. A highly decorative example of 1970s Italian lighting, combining traditional Venetian glass craftsmanship with the futuristic forms associated with Space Age and Mid-Century Modern interiors. The brass components have been carefully repolished and the lamp has new electrical wiring. Minor signs of use and age remain consistent with its vintage character.
